How Snap Away handles your data. Last updated October 5, 2026.

Snap Away (snapitaway.ai) helps you photograph, identify, and list items you already own. We don’t sell your personal data.

What we collect

  • Account details: email, optional name, and password hash (or sign-in with Google, Facebook, or Apple).
  • Photos and listing content you upload.
  • Marketplace connection tokens you authorize (for example eBay), stored encrypted.
  • Basic technical logs (IP, user agent) for security and reliability.

Social sign-in

If you use Google, Facebook, or Apple, we receive a stable user id, your email (when provided), and sometimes your name. For Facebook we only request email and public_profile — never Marketplace or Pages permissions. We can’t post to Facebook Marketplace for you.

How we use data

To run your account, identify items (with AI providers you enable), prepare listing copy, and email you for password resets or login links. We don’t use social logins to message your friends or scrape your social graph.

Retention & deletion

You can delete your account and data. Facebook users can request deletion via our data deletion page (also linked from the Meta app settings). Contact noreply@snapitaway.ai if you need help.
